![]() ![]() I KNOW my way around a car, and they looked up the time to repair from the guide, 2.2 hrs and SHOWED it to me! Then looked up the part online and showed me his cost for the part! Told me what he charged per hour for Labor. ![]() They were able to see the issue upon initial inspection - Busted ball joint - and told me I could have the car in a few hours. I had a Tow Truck Driver recommend these guys to me on a Saturday morning when I broke down on the 405. If you want to retain customers then always have a professional inspect the car instead of the middleman. You cannot become a mechanic by learning few words. Farrooq did the inspection and provided a quote but I came to know he is not a mechanic by profession. Also some hidden charges which they dont provide in the quote, they charge you in final bill. They got done a exhaust work for my car outside for $128 and charged me 200+. ![]() I left my car for the work and later I was told very much higher than what was quoted orally (Equal to Les Schwab). Farrooq have provided a oral quote which was very less. I got the service done here as I was referred by my friend, I trusted these guys but I was very disappointed. ![]() Super friendly and the are amazing people thanks so much guys I like to support local, family-owned and operated businesses, but you’ve got to do the work on time, and you’ve got to be honest in your communication, or I’m done.My husband and I were visiting from Nevada about a month ago and our cars master cylinder would not let out presser (so we were told at midas) then we took our car to a different shop I cant remember the name and were told it was our routers and caliber so e trusted mods went out bought a master cylinder at oriley and requested them to put it in well little we new they wouldnt do that so we were out 150 and now had to find a place to do the master cylinder when finally we found techstream and they said they would look at it all it was was flushing the break fluid and the car was fine it ran perfectly and he put in the new master cylinder I wish we’d gone to LBR first but the car belongs to a friend who wanted us to take it to Tech Stream. Also, Harry told me that replacing the catalytic converter is one of the biggest car-repair scams going and that they rarely need to be replaced. Actual problem: one out of five ignition coils is bad and needs to be replaced. We’re already almost two weeks into not having a car that we need! We picked the car up on Sunday and took it to LBR Automotive, where the diagnostics were completed in less than a day and the repair will be done in one further day. They also confessed that they hadn’t finished the diagnostics yet. They tried to tell us that the car had an electrical problem, wasn’t firing on all cylinders, and the unburned fuel had damaged the catalytic converter. Finally we managed to get in touch with them on Saturday. I see here on Unilocal that they are closed on Fridays, so I guess we should have expected that, but it was still more needless frustration. No call from Tech Stream on Thursday, and Friday morning, when we called, we got voice mail. Tell me again why you made an appointment for us for SUNDAY? You know where this is going. «Not done with the diagnostics yet.» Let me translate: «We haven’t done anything.» They promised to call back Thursday with the completed diagnostics. On Wednesday afternoon, we finally got hold of them on the phone. We could have done whatever we wanted in the office during that time, but instead, stood there idiotically, asking loudly if anyone was working there. They ignored us in their office for over ten minutes. (That was really the first available time?) Saturday afternoon when we dropped the car off early in the hopes that they would work on it sooner, the guys were sitting around, smoking in the garage, not working on cars. On Tuesday two weeks ago, we made an appointment for Sunday. I’d give them zero stars if it were possible. ![]()
